Even the Rock came out of semi-retirement to work a program with him and verbally put him over as a new rising star. Well you know that HHH wouldn't stand for that, so during the Rock program the running joke was that Eugene was actually a huge fan of HHH. This was pretty funny, until they actually booked it as a program, with HHH taking Eugene under his wing as a mentor, before brutally turning on him and then squashing him at Summerslam 2004 so hard that the ring crew practically had to scrape his remains off the mat with putty knives afterwards.
