WWE: 10 Times Triple H Saw Something He Liked And Booked Himself Into It

3. Brock Lesnar

When WWE signed Brock Lesnar for a substantial amount of money in 2012, they got one of the biggest box office draws in the world. Lesnar was a beast in UFC, he did over a million buys for a pay per view and was a legitimate mainstream star. Added to this was his tough guy image, he was physically a monster, he seemed destined to be huge back in the WWE. It didn't turn out that way. Lesnar was on a limited dates contract, so it was imperative WWE got value for their money by using him in only the best contests. It was decided that the best feud for Lesnar would be Triple H. I mean come on, seriously? The UFC sensation Brock Lesnar's most intriguing WWE match was against a 42 year old part time businessman? WWE creative completely blew it when they booked Lesnar against Triple H for three pay per views, SummerSlam 2012, WrestleMania 29 and Extreme Rules 2013. How could they have been so stupid to have signed a guy for huge money, then used his limited dates over a year on one guy who is barely relevant to the WWE full time roster? It would have made way more sense for Lesnar to elevate a full timer or give an up and comer the rub. We can only presume that Triple H wanted to get in on Lesnar's fame and influenced the creative to suit himself. The fact Hunter beat Lesnar at Mania 29 is simply baffling.
