WWE: 11 Loudest Crowd Reactions In WCW History

9. Sting Attacks Eric Bischoff (May 19, 1997)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfObFdpnv3Q The main story in 1997 involved WCW finally having their guys stand up to the NWO and combat them head on. Sting was gone for a long time from the end of 1996 to early 1997, but when he came back in the black and white face paint he was a man on a mission. He didn't speak. He just kicked people's ass. The fans loved him for it. Eric Bischoff was a great heel as the leader of the NWO. Fans hated him. He showed up to do a promo where he spoke about how he wanted to see Sting, but they couldn't find him. Bischoff was looking up at the rafters. They couldn't find him. Suddenly, Sting appeared. From where? Down there. Under the ring. He appeared from a hole under the ring. He grabbed Bischoff from behind, which led to this freaked out look from Bischoff and then Sting dropped him with the Scorpion Deathdrop. The fans erupted at the sight of the Stinger as Nitro went off the air with Sting proving once again that he wasn't going to back down from the NWO. This was the kind of great programming that WCW did to end episodes of Nitro that made people keep coming back for more.
