WWE: 12 Matches That Were Booked All Wrong

8. Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon - Wrestlemania 26

This sucked for so many reasons. Let's start with the fact it is a man in his Sixties versus a man in his fifties who had previously suffered a stroke. They just plain didn't belong in the ring together, there was no way for the company to possibly book this that would get any satisfactory action. WWE tried to work their way around this by booking The Hart Family to get involved ... and it just didn't work at all. Vince opened the 'match' by getting on the mic and telling Hart he had screwed him again, supposedly by paying the Hart Family to turn on Bret. However, Bret then informed Vince that his family had informed him and it would be Vince the one getting screwed. This then led to the Hart family beating Vince up before Bret won with a sharpshooter. It was terrible. After years of genuine intrigue into these men, they concluded in such a fake nonsensical way that it ruined the entire Hart / McMahon history. This wasn't the resolution to the real life rivalry of the Attitude Era, it was more of a silly angle which was reminiscent of the cartoon era.
