WWE: 12 Most Powerful Stables In Wrestling History
4. The Kliq
Significant Members: Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Triple H. The Kliq is the only stable on this list to never officially appear as a unit on television, but their tremendous influence and monumental impact on the business warrants their placement. When the five like-minded performers latched onto each other in mid-90s WWE, they began to garner a reputation as backstabbing manipulators willing to hold down others for their own gain. Shawn Michaels was the WWE champion off and on during this time and had heavy influence with Vince McMahon. Soon his cohorts began to work their way into Vince's inner circle as well, and the Kliq's position was cemented. Very few of their colleagues from this time period speak highly of them. However, it's undeniable what a major role they've played in wrestling's history. Without Hall and Nash's decision to jump to WCW, we would have never gotten the MSG curtain call, which in turn is what led to Triple H's punishment and Steve Austin taking his place as the King of the Ring winner, which gave us the "Austin 3:16" promo, which helped create the biggest star in the history of the business. Also, without the Kliq's influence we may not have gotten the Montreal Screwjob, which created the evil Mr. McMahon character, the catalyst of the biggest angle in WWE during wrestling's hottest period. Simultaneously, Hall and Nash were spearheading WCW's biggest angle ever with the nWo. Memorable Moments: MSG curtain call, Montreal screwjob, nWo, DX. Why They Were Powerful: The Kliq was either responsible for or just on the peripheral of some incredibly pivotal events. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1vb2tN4XjQ
