WWE: 12 Wrestlers With Retirement On Their Mind

8. Mark Henry

The irony with Mark Henry approaching retirement age is he's only recently hitting his best ever WWE work. Both in the ring and on the microphone he is proving an asset, but with his size and weight he realistically can't continue to work at this level. He is 43 this June and after nearly 20 years of pro wrestling his body can't hold up. Henry is susceptible to injury and with the bulk he carries he could be doing himself long term knee damage if he continues to wrestle like he is. A 400 pound 43 year old body isn't meant to bump and run around like Henry does. He can leave WWE safe in the knowledge he has done extremely well. Joining the company in 1996 he was immediately put on a big contract owing to his World Strongest Man credentials. He has remained well paid ever since and will have no worries about money when he eventually leaves the company. He will be a loss to WWE because he is a great upper mid card talent to have. You need guys like Henry. When WWE needs Brock Lesnar to destroy a giant to get himself over who does he attack if Henry isn't available? These giants who outsize Lesnar don't grow on trees. The best promo of last year was Henry's retirement angle and we could very well see it again soon for real this time. Retirement Verdict: 2015
