WWE: 13 Contracts Expiring In The Next Year

5. Kofi Kingston

In 2012 it was reported that Kofi Kingston has 3 years left to run on his WWE contract, which should mean that negotiations of a new deal start up later this year. The talented athlete has surprisingly been with WWE for over 7 years now, failing to really breakout of the midcard. Despite this, he remains a valued performer owing to his ability to put on an exciting wrestling match. Kingston is the kind of versatile talent who can slot in anywhere and do a job, so WWE are likely to retain him for another 3 years. A new contract would be Kingston's final chance to leave a legacy in the industry. Right now he will only be remembered for his Royal Rumble spots, apart from that his best moments have been tag title and intercontinental title wins. It's hardly the stuff that will get you into the Hall of Fame one day. A big problem with Kingston is lack of character, but if WWE could invest some decent creative he has a real chance to breakout into a bigger role. Verdict: Contract renewal agreed
