Believe it or not, Mick Foley has actually been under contract to WWE for the last few years. Why hasn't he been used that much? Because WWE don't like him is the truth. Foley is seen in a dim light by Triple H and Vince McMahon, particularly after his Hall of Fame tantrum in 2013. As such, the WWE have opted to use Foley in a limited capacity and mostly away from television. Foley recently confirmed that his WWE contract would not be getting renewed when it expires in early 2014. "My official contract with WWE runs out soon, but we have mutually agreed to continue to work together on a case-by-case handshake deal." However, with the upcoming Network launch, Foley is expected to do quite a bit of freelance work with the Connecticut company. One thing that might occur is Mick presenting a weekly show on the Network, but after his scathing criticisms of the company, that might be seen by some as a bad choice. Saying that your employer hates its consumer is hardly the best career move. Verdict: Contract expired, paid for occasional work
