WWE: 15 Best (As Themselves) Wrestler Cameos In TV & Movies

5. The WCW Main Event Scene - Baywatch

The Plot: The only other sitcom plot more overplayed than "sitcom star has to wrestle professional wrestler" is "rich developer wants to close youth centre, so hero challenges developer to sporting contest." And that's what happens here, with WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan and Randy "Macho Man" Savage challenging Ric Flair and Big Van Vader to save a rec center Flair wants to demolish to build a condo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LRWApcyjE8 Oh yeah, there's also an amnesia angle (with Hogan crashing on a jet ski) which would probably be Number Three on list of overplayed plots, but with the amount of star power in this episode - which also features Jimmy Hart and Kevin Sullivan - makes it for wrestling fans. And that's without mentioning the fact that most wrestling fans at this time (1996) were teenage boys, so the opportunity to see their favourite stars alongside the rest of the non-Hasselhoff cast in their red swimsuits probably helped make this a successful crossover.
