WWE: 15 Notable Performers That Have Never Been In A Royal Rumble Match

14. Kamala

They've died down a bit in recent years, but throughout the history of professional wrestling, ridiculous gimmicks have always been a dime a dozen. Mississippi native James Harris spent most of his career with one such gimmick, that of the supposedly Ugandan savage, Kamala. Though such a gimmick would be denounced as racist today, it allowed Harris to achieve moderate recognition during a handful of runs in the WWE throughout the 1980s, despite his poor technical ability. Returning to the company in 1992, Kamala was the Undertaker's opponent in the first ever televised coffin match, before turning face after spending the entirety of his previous runs as a heel. This led to the giant appearing in comedy skits such as bowling with his new manager, Slick, but he did not appear in 1993's Rumble match and left the WWE again midway through the year. Advertised as an entrant for the 1994 event, Kamala ultimately failed to appear, and his only appearances on WWE programming since have been in a handful of comedic segments. He has not appeared since 2006, however, and seems unlikely to again given that he has unfortunately had to have both his legs amputated as a result of diabetes.
