9. Mr. America

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqqfMaxU0f8 The Mr. America gimmick that Hulk Hogan did in 2003 following his win over Vince McMahon at WrestleMania that year was really stupid. It was Hulk Hogan in a mask because McMahon had suspended Hogan due to the anger he felt after losing to Hogan. They did a lot of silly things with the gimmick as Mr. America did all of the old Hogan mannerisms, even said "brother" in his promos and they never tried to hide who it really was. Everybody knew it was Hulk. He had a few matches as Mr. America including an awful one with Roddy Piper at Judgment Day 2003. The character didn't last too much longer. Hogan likely realized it was stupid as did Vince McMahon and he was gone from WWE until he returned later back in the traditional Hogan gear. While I have a lot of respect for Hulk Hogan and the things he did in his career, the run as Mr. America was a terrible idea all things considered.
