3. Royal Rumble

The Good: Outside of the 1992 version, the 2004 Royal Rumble match is the best ever. Featuring a historic performance from Chris Benoit (good luck finding it in WWE history) and advancing several storylines, it did pretty much everything right. Shawn Michaels and Triple H's Last Man Standing match was good but, once again, too long. The Bad: The undercard was totally rushed. Two blood feuds (Eddie/Chavo and Holly/Lesnar) were given less than ten minutes for their blow-off, which was ridiculous. Holly claimed in his book that ten minutes were shaved off his match and given to HHH and HBK. Rey Mysterio and Jamie Noble were allocated just three minutes for their Cruiserweight Title match. The Rest: The crowd voiced their displeasure at John Cena's elimination (during which he suffered a leg injury) at the hands of Big Show by filling the arena with boos. Cena was a mega-over babyface in early 2004. What a different a couple of years makes...
