WWE 2004 PPVs From Worst To Best

13. Judgement Day

The Good: Overall, Judgement Day 2004 was another poor showing from the Smackdown crew, who were suffering from a lack of star power. Still, Eddie Guerrero and JBL managed to deliver in their first main event, producing a surprisingly dramatic and epic WWE Title match that was helped by Eddie's truly horrific juice job. The show opened with Rey Mysterio & Rob Van Dam taking on the Dudley Boys in a match which is also pretty good and deserves a look, especially with the Duds' recent WWE return and all. The Bad: Again, there was just a lot of filler. Torrie Wilson versus Dawn Marie, Mordecai versus Scotty 2 Hotty and Rico/Charlie Haas versus Holly/Gunn were just not PPV quality matches. Jacqueline versus Chavo Guerrero (who had one arm tied behind his back), and the surrounding storyline, did serious damage to the image of the Cruiserweight Title. Not like WWE cared or anything... Undertaker senselessly squashed Booker T in the penultimate match. What a waste of Booker this was. The Rest: Eddie lost so much blood that he went into shock backstage. He was given IV fluids (but declined a blood transfusion) and his wound required a massive sixteen stitches to close. He then worked a reduced schedule for a while.
