WWE 2016 Slammy Award Predictions

It's no secret that WWE sometimes struggle to get fans on board with their use of social media. However, when AJ Styles and The Club expressed their fondness for beating up John Cena in the summer of 2016, they created a hashtag that many fans were more than happy to get around. #BeatUpJohnCena became a fan favourite in a short amount of time, becoming a focal point of Cena's rivalry with Styles & The Club.

With each passing week, the prevalence of #BeatUpJohnCena on Twitter grew and grew. To this day the hashtag is still used, although it's put to use more sparingly that when it was originally concocted. The only other memorable hashtag to come out of the year was #SignHeathSlater. However, WWE will be more inclined to reward the more creative hashtag that belongs to a main eventer than a basic concept that supports a midcarder. For this reason, expect Styles & The Club to reunite at The Slammys to accept the award. For Styles, it won't be the only acceptance speech he'll make on the night.
