It's finally here.
WarGames, like GM Mode before it, has consistently graced WWE video game wishlists for a solid decade or more. This is something the gamer base sorely wanted, and now they have it. Don't go worrying that WarGames will be akin to the first sighting of Hell In A Cell from ye olden times either - 2K will replicate the famous match type properly.
"Heart-pounding 3v3 and 4v4 mayhem" is what the press release says. Further, they're bringing the stretched out double-steel cage and side-by-side ring layout to the party too. It'd be amazing if players could use that arena setup for other matches elsewhere, but there's nothing confirmed there.
Imagine a Royal Rumble using the two-ring WarGames arena set? Alright, that's getting back into wishlist territory for no reason. For now, just know that WarGames is included in WWE 2K23, and it could become the series' most popular match type overnight.
