WWE's TNA World Champions Ranked - From Worst To Best

3. Sting

The man who ended Joe's one and only world title reign in TNA would have five reigns of his own, one with the NWA strap and four with TNA's own creation. The first two of the latter were won at Bound for Glory as TNA tried to create some sort of 'Sting is invincible at Bound for Glory' story, which came to an end with defeat in 2009 to the man who features at number two on this list.

Sting defeated four different men for his TNA World Championships in the shape of Angle, Joe, Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy, as well as defeating Jeff Jarrett for the NWA equivalent with his career on the line. TNA sure did love title vs. career matches.

It was in one of these that Sting's TNA career came to an end, as The Icon unsuccessfully challenged Magnus for the TNA World Championship in 2014. Before the year was over he had arrived in WWE and entered their Hall of Fame in 2016.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
