WWE: The 5 Men Planned To Be WWE's Biggest Stars After WrestleMania 30 - Report
2. Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan has already ascended to the number two spot in the company previously held by CM Punk, expect him to remain there for the rest of 2014. Corporate business partners of the WWE have already been informed that Bryan will be having a significant push built around him this Spring, with Meltzer reporting last week that WWE has big plans for him as the number 2 guy. It's little surprise that the company are lining up Bryan to be the guy just below the franchise face of the company. His popularity demands it and even if CM Punk had stuck around we would have seen Bryan positioned ahead of him. Some fans might question why Bryan can't be the number one guy, in truth it isn't realistic for him to be the franchise star, WWE are correct to only project Bryan for secondary status. How come you might ask? The answer would be that it takes more than a few months to become the franchise star and it involves more work than Bryan can handle right now. People might point to the meteoric rise of Austin and Cena as number one players, but if you look back, Austin was hot for the whole of 97 before being the top guy and Cena was second fiddle to Batista for a year before he ascended to the top spot toward the end of 2005. If Bryan has a really successful summer as the number two guy then he could possibly be considered for a push to be the number 1 guy for 2015. Realistically though the number 1 WWE star is too deeply ingrained and works too hard to ever lose his spot. Click next to find out why...
