WWE: 55 Greatest Superstars Of The 21st Century

john-cena-wwe-champion There are few wrestlers that leave their mark on the business, especially once they're gone. Not every wrestler can be a superstar, an in ring technician, great on the mic or a dominating powerhouse. Then again, every once in a while, a wrestle emerges that has more than one of these characteristics and that's what makes them special. They're why we watch. Since 2001, a lot of wrestlers have come and gone, some more memorable than others. This list is sure to raise some eyebrows and start some controversy but hey, that's what makes wrestling fun. Everyone has 'their guy' and who they think should be number one. Now this list was a pain in the ass to put in order, as many of these stars could go in different spots but it is what it is. The best of the best in the last 13 years. Before the controversy starts, real quick, some honorable mentions... The greatest non wrestler in entertainment history is none other than Vincent Kennedy McMahon. McMahon was a GENIUS in his feuds with Stone Cold, The Rock and Mick Foley. These guys wouldn't have reached the level of super stardom that they did had it not been for McMahon. He deserves so much credit for the WWE's success from outside of the ring and well as inside. Tyler Black (now known as Seth Rollins) was a ROH superstar before coming over to the WWE. He was their World Champion and the face of the company. He also became the first ever NXT champion in the WWE. Now he may be on a future list as Seth Rollins but time will tell. We'll just have to wait and see how hard the WWE decides to push him after The Shield get disbanded, I have my doubts. Also not in the Top 55 is Samoa Joe, Roderick Strong, Matt Hardy, Alex Shelley, Bobby Lashley, Devon, Wade Barrett, Davey Richards, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow or Kofi Kingston. All of these guys are stars in their own right but I just didn't think they were a bigger draw, more entertaining, better wrestlers or bigger stars than anyone in the top 55. If you feel differently, then I apologize. We can always debate about it later, that's part of the fun. I'm no expert but it's fun to pretend to be. Number 55 is..
