WWE: 6 Current Faces That Are Better As Heels

2. Mark Henry

Mark Henry It's pretty simple with Mark Henry. Great as a heel. Average as a face. It's just easier to boo a guy that is billed as the "World's Strongest Man" because look at that name. He's stronger than everybody else. That's not a fair fight. We want to boo guys like that. The reason fans cheer Henry is his positioning. Due to the fact that he's in his early 40s, WWE probably thinks fans are going to want to cheer him more since he's been a WWE guy for 18 years now. Yes, it's been that long. What WWE needs to realize is that Henry never really had a good run as a babyface. It was always the heel work. He's great at it. Henry's push in 2011 was the result of a renewed sense of focus on his part as well as WWE finally getting behind the guy to the point where they pushed him like a top guy. He stopped doing stupid comedy things. He stopped wearing that ridiculously bright red outfit that made him look like the Kool-Aid man. He was finally a beast that people were scared of. What also made Henry work so well as a heel was his trash talk. Once he started inducting people into his "Hall of Pain" and saying things like "that's what I do" repeatedly he became more of a threat every match. He looked like a guy that believed in everything he did instead of somebody the announcers try to push as a tough guy just because he weighed 400 pounds. Just because he's older doesn't mean he should be a face. The guy is a heel. Make him a heel again. Use his growing friendship with Big E Langston to facilitate a heel turn. Have Henry turn heel on Langston and they could have a memorable feud between two power guys that are nearly 20 years apart in age. It would work well. It's certainly better than babyface Henry although that's no disrespect to Mark. It's just the truth - he's a great bad guy. Let him be the bad guy again. Odds of a heel turn in 2014: 70%
