WWE: 6 Reasons Your Criticisms Of The Current Product Are Plain Wrong

3. The New Blood Is Rising

aQaT1HvOEulZlwd The epitome of contradiction when it comes to some of these smarks is when they make the statement that they should bring some of the classic Superstars, €œI want them to bring back the nWo, I want them to bring back DX, I want them to bring back Bret Hart, I want them to bring back the Attitude" yadda yadda yadda... and yet when they do, they always complain that they are too old to be in the ring. Now granted, some of those classic superstars €œhave still got it€, but let's face it, what could anyone of them add to the current product? Not much. And I think the proof is in the pudding when it comes to that other company, TNA. This once great up and coming alternative has now descended into a complete and utter farce, even worse than what WCW became. They have brought in pretty much ALL of the classic superstars at one point or another, and it has all failed miserably (with the exception of the original Main Event Mafia, that was awesome). Hogan and Bischoff have come in, hired all their old friends, let go of all the amazing talent that built the company and reverted back to the €œclassic€ style by taking out the six sides and diluting the X Division to the point where it has become nothing more than a glorified light heavyweight division (It has absolutely nothing on the Cruiserweight division of WCW nowadays, hence the comparison). And look at what its become, a shell of its former self and a running joke. On the other side of the coin, the WWE brought back a bunch of classics, from the Rock to Brock Lesnar and even Kevin Nash. And quite frankly, I can see nothing they they have done other than put the ppv buyrates up a little. I see no ratings jump and all the smarks do is complain that they are taking away tv time from more deserving wrestlers. EXCUSE ME! (see what I did there?) but last week you just told me that they should bring back Nash, now ya telling me he should just retire because he is embarrassing. I€™m sorry but you got what you wished, if he is too old to wrestle or has lost his skills, too bad. You should tune in anyway, sit down and watch it as you have asked for it. But smarks can€™t do that, even when they get what they want they have to find criticism. Personally I believe the current roster is literally the crème of the crop in the entire world and bringing back the oldies seems to dilute it down and take away the momentum. I mean, look at the damn roster. The technical prowess of these guys are second to none. Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Sheamus, all of the bonifide masters of the ring and in their prime. There has been a ton of submission and mat wrestling as of late as well which again puts to shame any criticism that the current product has been watered down in anyway. The fact is, mat skill wise, the current roster is better than it has ever been, even better than the Attitude era. And lets add something to that statement shall we. These guys are not on steroids, aren€™t hooked on painkillers and don€™t drink themselves to near death every night. So we won€™t be seeing any more Chris Benoits, Eddie Guerreros or Jake the Snakes (although he is coming along nicely, proud of you Jake) any time soon (hopefully never again). Tell you what, go to WWE.com€™s roster page and have a scroll thru, then come back & tell me I am wrong with that.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
