One of the biggest and most important storylines that will take place in WWE this year will be the rise of Roman Reigns. They will hopefully carve out his career path meticulously so that there are no missteps along the way. They have to do everything they can to have the WWE Universe buy into him as a legitimate top guy. Does he look the part? Sure, but you can't get by just on looks. You have to prove it in the ring. That's where Lesnar comes into play. For Reigns to become a superstar babyface wrestler he's going to need to beat some heels along the way. Few heels in WWE are better than Lesnar. If they had a feud that saw them go at it in an extremely physical match and Reigns was able to get the win it would propel him to that next level. It's important to use Lesnar's name value to help somebody else before he decides he doesn't want to be a pro wrestler anymore. That's why it's the perfect feud to elevate Reigns to a point where fans can believe he's the real deal. Imagine a SummerSlam matchup between these two. It would be the biggest match of Reigns career while Lesnar could look down on him thinking that he's not on his level. They could even mention that when Lesnar was in UFC he was knocked out a couple of times. What move does Reigns have? The Superman Punch. That could come into play as a huge moment in their match. If WWE wants Reigns to be the "next big thing" it's pretty simple. Put him over the man that used to be the "next big thing" and he'll be on the right path to become a WWE World Heavyweight Champion sooner rather than later.
