WWE: 7 Genuine Examples Of Triple H Doing "What's Best For Business"

4. Losing To John Cena At WrestleMania 2006

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh-kmws3Gx4 It was John Cena's first WrestleMania main event, so it was a huge match as he defended the WWE Title against Triple H in Chicago. Historically, the winner of a match like that would be the challenger to the WWE Title, but in this case Cena was walking in as the champion. They really did an awesome job of bringing a big fight feel to the match with each guy having special entrances as Hunter had a specially made king thrown while Cena had an old time gangster entrance. Any time you get an entrance like that at a WrestleMania it's important to deliver a memorable match too. This match was pretty famous because the fans turned on Cena for the majority of it. Even though he was promoted as the next huge babyface star in the company, the fans didn't want him to win. It was too bad for them because when the night was over, Hunter was tapping out and putting Cena over as a winner in his first WrestleMania main event match. It was the third straight year where Hunter lost clean in the WrestleMania main event and the second time in three years where he lost via tapout, which was very rare for him.
