3. Triple H vs The Rock vs Mick Foley vs The Big Show - WWE Championship - Wrestlemania 2000
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vodI46LMmk After Hogan and Andre's time in the spotlight, the WWE went a long time without being the super popular entity that it had been in the '80s. That time period lasted until the late '90s, when the "Attitude Era" hit full force. By the year 2000, WWE may have even been more popular than it was in the golden '80s, with Monday Night Raw regularly popping 7.0 ratings, and monthly pay per views being bought by hundreds of thousands of fans. While many fans clamoured for the main event of that year's Wrestlemania to be Triple H vs The Rock, the WWE decided that more was better (check some reviews of the match: it wasn't) and had a fatal four main event featuring three of the company's top stars...and The Big Show. To cram even more into the match, the main event was billed as "A McMahon in Every Corner": The Rock was managed by Vince, Triple H by Stephanie, The Big show by Shane, and Mick Foley by Linda. The media blitz was extensive. The Rock hosted the March 18th episode of Saturday Night Live, and the other participants in the made event made cameos throughout the program. The WWE wrote a theme song for the event (the first time an individual pay per view received that treatment), and there was even an N64 video game released, also named "Wrestlemania 2000". Proving that all the hype in the world can't make a match good, the main event turned out to be a terrible affair, with none of the superstars clicking whatsoever. The following month at Backlash, the fans finally got to see the one-on-one match between Triple H and The Rock that they had been dying to see, and of course, it was awesome.
