Papa Shango was one of the craziest characters that Charles Wright played in his career. Wright was also known as The Godfather and Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine, but it was Shango that had the most unique powers out of anybody that he played. Papa Shango was a voodoo man that carried a black cane with a skull and beads on it. He had a black top hat, white face paint and a necklace that had bones on it. He first appeared in 1992 and most would remember him from his run-in during the WrestleMania 8 main event between Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice, which led to the return of The Ultimate Warrior. His most high profile feud was with The Ultimate Warrior as he used his voodoo powers to make Warrior sick to the point that he spit up green puke. Shango didn't even touch him. He merely stood ten feet away from him as Warrior was on the apron and suddenly, Warrior was clutching his stomach. There was even a moment where Papa Shango lit the boots of an opponent on fire. He also lit another opponent's hand on fire. They were just jobber opponents, but they did it as a way to build him as an unpredictable wrestler. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrQnoplcmz0 Another thing that Papa Shango did was he had the ability to cause black liquid to stream down the face and hands of other people. It was supposed to be this black blood. It happened to Ultimate Warrior and even Hall of Fame announcer Gene Okerlund as well. The gimmick wasn't that successful and it didn't last too long, but the voodoo of Papa Shango was something that wrestling fans will never forget.
