WWE: 7 Things Top Stars Did After Losing Big Matches

6. Deliver A Strong Promo Causing People To Forget About The Loss

Chris Jericho has always been one of the best wrestlers at talking about how wins and losses don't really matter if you know how to get your heat back in a promo. In a 2011 interview with Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Jericho talked about his philosophy when it comes to winning matches. "As far as losing, the only guys who were really stuck on the losing were guys who were reporting on it. Most of the losses were my idea. It€™s not like there was anything going on behind the scenes. Once again, we€™re at a time where you have a lot of young guys and you€™ve got to build them up quickly, so you have them win. I could lose every night. I can lose to you. You think anybody€™s going to care? Nobody€ I was one of the few guys that could do that make that work. Once again, that was a challenge. Wins and losses mean nothing if you know how to do them properly." The reason a guy like Jericho could get away with losing and getting his heat back with a promo is because he's a gifted talker. It's a lot harder for the younger guys on the roster that don't get promo time to do it. Those that have the gift of gab can get out of a loss by delivering a money promo, but a lot of them will never get that opportunity and that's a shame more than anything.
