4. A Match Gets Bumped From The Card
WrestleMania is 4 hours long. But unlike Raw - which is also live but doesn't seem to be as bound by time limits a Pay-Per-View does not run longer than its time slot. When the clock strikes 11 for me, the winner of the main event had better be mid celebration, or else someone in World Wrestling Entertainment has made a serious error. What I'm getting at is this: these events must be timed out to the minute. When you are putting this much time, effort, and money into a show, how could you possibly find yourself in the position of needing to remove an entire match from the card? Did Puff Daddy show up during the pre-show, all "Hey Vince, I feel like I could drop some sweet notes on this record-setting crowd. And look, you've got these Divas just hanging around here anyways, BOOM you have my backup dancers." Good bye Divas match, and possibly the Fatal Four Way. And while I'm not particularly looking forward to this year's Divas match, my expectations have been set. Even more importantly, the Divas' expectations have been set, and what a terrible disappointment to miss out on WrestleMania because of DIDDY (or even worse, missing out because of Brodus Clay's mamas). Putting on a show "as advertised" is a professional courtesy to all.
