WWE: 7 Ways To Make Sheamus This Summer's Biggest Heel

The current United States Champion Sheamus has been rumored for a heel turn ever since he returned from injury at the Royal Rumble. There were plans for him to turn prior to WrestleMania 30 and possibly feud with Daniel Bryan, but that didn't happen because as we know in wrestling plans are always changing. When Sheamus won the US Title in a battle royal, the idea was that he would elevate the importance of the championship because as a former main eventer he adds instant credibility. What about the heel turn? It's still on as far as we know. The expectation was that now that the nearly two week European tour has come to a close, WWE is likely to move forward with Sheamus returning to the dark side. Since he's an Irish born wrestler, there was a feeling that he would help ticket sales in the babyface role. Now that WWE is headed back stateside this Monday for Raw they can set the wheels in motion for the next phase of Sheamus' career. Sheamus is likely going to be defending the US Title against Cesaro at Payback on June 1st. It should be a very physical match like all their matches are. Perhaps the heel turn will start there somehow, but it may happen later. We don't know yet.
