Kane and Daniel Bryan were best buddies this time last year, but last night we saw the former Bid Red Machine cost Bryan the WWE title. It was yet another screwy pay per view finish and you have to wonder when the law of diminishing returns will start applying to WWE. The definition of insanity is making the same mistake over and over again but expecting different results, so at what point do fans stop buying as a reaction to these cheap finishes? This latest PPV screwjob may result in fans saying "That's it, I'm not ordering Mania, it's just gonna be another cheated ending." WWE will argue that they built more sympathy for Bryan and more heat for Orton, but it's a bold gamble to take. Last night's finish may have been the final straw for some, the decision maker to give Wrestlemania 30 a miss. There's also the nightmare prospect that WWE pulled that finish to facilitate Bryan vs Kane at Mania ... but surely not ... right? Whatever the circumstances, WWE would have had a more valuable Network launch and Mania build with the positive vibes of a Bryan win last night.
