WWE: 8 Ways WrestleMania 30 Is A Modern Day WrestleMania 13

5. Gang Warfare

With WCW€™s three man dynasty the €˜NWO€™ the hottest act in the industry at the time, the WWE tried to capture some of their magic by throwing what seemed to be every performer they had into some type of stable. Wrestlemania 13 witnessed one of these the €˜Nation of Domination€™ compete against Ahmed Johnson and the Legion of Doom in a €˜Chicago Street Fight€™. The contest resembled something more akin to a gang war then a wrestling match; it would prove to be the first of many multi-man tag wars throughout the year.

A week after Wrestlemania 13 Bret Hart reunited with Jim Neidhart and recruited Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, and Brian Pillman to form the new Hart Foundation. Their clashes with Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock & Co would prove to be among the highlights of the year.

Emerging factions DOA, Los Boricuas and the Truth Commission wouldn€™t prove to be so successful. Ending on a highpoint however the year would close out with the formation of the most influential faction in company history €“ D Generation X.

With both the Shield and the Wyatt family going in to Wrestlemania among the hottest acts in the company, the former of which looking set to do battle with Kane and rather fittingly former DX running buddies the 'New Age Outlaws', the wrestling stable is once again in vogue.

Wrestlemania 30 could be the birthplace of yet another. As recently reported by PWInsider the WWE creative team were looking to tread the line between work and shoot by bringing Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, and Zack Ryder together as a group of disgruntled employees who feel they have been held down by the system. With Ziggler€™s last World Title reign and the days of the Miz main eventing Wrestlemania seemingly a lifetime ago it could be the shot in the arm they need.

They are not the only ones who would benefit from this treatment, Kofi Kingston, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Christian and even the Big Show are among a multitude of names who find themselves with no direction, constantly trading wins their careers stuck in limbo.
