In the most spectacular entry in their amazing ladder match series, the Dudleys, Hardys, and Edge and Christian put their careers on the line in a series of amazing spots that endangered the lives of all six participants. At WrestleMania X-7, each of the wrestlers felt pressure to top their last contest and it could have resulted in serious injury. In a moment that probably shortened the careers of both men, Edge speared Jeff Hardy from a ladder while Hardy hung from the tag title belts. Both men landed in a heap on the canvas and Jeff's body actually bounced upon impact, with nothing to break his fall. Edge's landing most likely contributed to the neck problems that would plague the rest of his career and eventually end it. To top that, Matt Hardy and Bubba Ray Dudley climbed a massive 20-foot ladder in the ring. The ladder was shoved over, sending Hardy and Dudley falling outside of the ring and through a stack of four tables in the entrance way. The simple fact that both men walked away from a fall like that speaks volumes to how tough they are. The match was an instant classic and remains difficult to watch to this day.
