WWE has ADHD when it comes to the Divas division. They can never decide what the hell theyre doing with it. Its frustrating to watch talented people lose to non-talented people. Its even more frustrating when the person who lost has a belt. Im sorry, but Brie just doesnt have it. In this case "it" means the ability to believably portray a wrestler. Her sister Nikki has improved dramatically over the years in every area, but Brie remains and unconvincing necessity of WWE programming. Meanwhile, Charlotte is trying to get over as the top heel woman wrestler in the company. Therefore, she should be winning the vast majority of her matches. That way, when someone does beat her it means something. The loss to Brie meant nothing. No one is going to buy Brie as a sudden threat to the Divas title, it only brings Charlotte down a notch. To top it off, since July 19th, Charlotte and Brie have fought in singles or tag matches 20 times on TV. It doesnt matter that theyve switched sides on the spectrum of good and evil (or in Bries case switched about 40 times since then). Its tired and played out, no combination of these two is compelling in any way. At this point, Id be fine with the assumed Brie vs. Charlotte Fastlane match being called off and instead we can watch a match that we've only seen 19 times.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
