WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Jan 10)

7. The Storm Has Calmed

Seeing James Storm in NXT was pretty exciting. Here we had an underutilized guy in TNA nearing the later stages of his career, and possibly getting a chance to find some untapped potential. In an ideal wrestling world, he would have been moved straight up to WWE€™s main roster and have a run near the top of the card for the next few years. However, we don€™t live in the ideal wrestling world, and we live in the one where James Storm goes back to TNA. A few years ago, Storm should have become the top babyface in Impact Wrestling, but management was too afraid to go all in on him, and he never again came close to regaining that popularity. His run with The Revolution was pretty awful, and it seemed best for both parties to just go their separate ways. Storm looks poised to reteam with his old Beer Money buddy Bobby Roode. While they are one of the best tag teams in wrestling over the past 10 years, there€™s really nothing for them to do. Sure, there€™s the Wolves and then there€™s... actually no, that€™s it. Only one other team for them to feud with in the entire company, and they€™re also babyfaces! Usually I€™m happy to see a wrestler return, but in this case it would be a lot more interesting to see what Storm could have accomplished elsewhere. TNA has had their shot with him for over 13 years and it didn€™t make them a lot of money, and it made me want to drink a lot of beer. Unfortunately, it wasn€™t just Storm returning that stunk, it what was he had to say€

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
