I know some people enjoyed this on Raw, but...hmmm...no sir, I dont like it. Neville defeating Kevin Owens in :21 on Raw is not good for anyone. Its not going to make Neville look like a badass, since he won on a fluke, and Owens only looks foolish, even if he did beat down his opponent after the match. Owens vs. Brock Lesnar has been rumored as a potential matchup at WrestleMania, while its probably unlikely, why not protect him just in case? The show is only three months away, so have a backup plan ready. But this week KO was pinned by a guy who is known in WWE for his finishing move and big ears, because those are the only two traits of his they ever talk about. And if not Lesnar, then get this man ready for Roman, because there are no heels that are over enough to take him on, hence why Vince McMahon has returned. On SmackDown, it was a good chance for Owens to get his heat back. The tag match he was in with Sheamus against Dean and Roman ended in a DQ, and the heels then beat down their opponents. This lasted about 15 seconds, until Superman punches rained from the sky and the faces made their comeback. Once again, Owens couldnt get the job done. From a booking standpoint, wouldnt it have made more sense for the heels to stand tall? That way it looks like Roman is in trouble of losing his title on Raw, and that Owens just may have Ambroses number. Well, maybe that match with Brock is out of the question, but if theyre careful, maybe, just maybe, they can still build Owens up in time for a match at WrestleMania with Jack Swagger or Tyler Breeze.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
