No one in wrestling history has failed their country more times than Jack Swagger has, which makes you wonder how he made the USA Team on Raw. Who invited him to join? Big Show? I bet it was Big Show. Seems like the sort of stupid thing he would do! Just look at that dumb grin. Confess Show!

Well, despite WWE having millions and millions of fans outside of the United States, they had a bunch of dudes from different countries try to beat up America on the 4th of July. So worldwide, America was basically the heels in the match. And had the States lost, the entire country would have had to be Europe’s butler for a month. At least, I think that was the stipulation.

What made things even odder was that the USA side was all babyfaces, and The World team contained a mix of faces and heels. Poor Cesaro had to walk out there with fans unsure how to respond to him. To the surprise of no one, America won and the American flag dropped from the ceiling. Which only makes you wonder what would have happened had the other team won.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
