WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 31)
4. Sonny Boy

Whenever New Day throws a party, it’s in your best interest to make up an excuse and not attend. "Sorry New Day, my aunt is in town and I have to hang out with her!" Whatever works.
The trio came out to celebrate their record breaking 337 day title run, which is actually only 141 days less than Demolition’s run with the title! Yeah, I know, they’re technically different titles, but it seems silly to ignore history; besides there’s only one pair of belts in the company now anyway, so isn’t it a fair comparison? Whatever, just make some Galactic Tag Titles to go with the Universal Title and be done with it!
Anyway, it was New Day’s fixation with a man who just so happened to be named “Sonny Boy” that earns them a nice spot on the list this week. Sonny Boy? SONNY Boy? Sonny BOY? SONNY BOY? Nope. No matter which way it’s said, it’s really not that funny.
Sonny Boy was one of those jokes that needed to die very quickly. Despite being a comedy act, New Day doesn’t seem to have ever heard of the rule of three. Saying “Sonny Boy” three times in various forms as a joke is fine. Not good, but fine. Saying it 47 times in various forms is embarrassingly bad.
Thankfully, The Club saved us from the skit making them my personal Universal favorite wrestlers of the week. No more party planning New Day!
