WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 31)

While TNA has made a lot of improvements this year, they still don’t seem to care about their history of running every possible gimmick match straight into the ground.

Impact this week not only gave us a Monster’s Ball match, but also a spur of the moment ladder match. While Monster's Ball isn't exactly Hell in a Cell, did The Bromans and Decay feud really need to be settled with thumbtacks? Wouldn’t thumbtacks mean more if they were used only once a year, instead of being used in a match involving Jesse Godderz? Second of all, a ladder match? They just did one of those a couple weeks ago!

Also of confusion is that as soon as Zema Ion spontaneously declared he wanted a ladder match, multiple employees came to the ring carrying ladders. What if he would have wanted a bra and panties match against Lashley instead? Is there someone whose full-time job it is to carry around women’s undergarments just in case? Though it would have been kind of awesome if he declared it was time for a Punjabi Prison Match, and the next four hours were used to build the cage.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
