You know what? I like tournaments in wrestling. When WWE actually gives a damn about King of the Ring, its usually a good time. Whats not a lot of fun is when we have absolutely no idea when a tournament is going to end. This was the fifth week of TNAs Heavyweight Title tournament, and its getting old. Theres no giant bracket showing all of the competitors and what place theyre in. Were getting peeks at the eight (eight!) groups, and numbers on who is placed where within their individual group. When will those winners face up? Who knows! It would be one thing if Josh Matthews could say The end of the tournament is on X date. That way thered be some drama building every week. But this thing keeps going. It just doesnt stop! And theres nothing outside of the tournament! When WWE has tournaments, theres still other storylines going on, not in TNA. If youre not invested in this, youre completely out of luck. They cant find anything else to do during those two hours?
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
