WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sept 13)

3. Cosmic Crap

Maybe Vince McMahon doesn€™t watch SmackDown. It€™s hard to blame him if he doesn€™t, but you€™d think it might be part of his job. Last week on SmackDown, The Ascenion and Stardust formed a new stable. It€™s probably not the greatest thing for any of the three, but it€™s at least something. Usually when new stables form, they go on a bit of a tear, and pick up a bunch of victories so they can try and get over. This was the opposite approach WWE took with their formation. On Raw, creative felt that Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose needed someone to defeat quickly and effectively. Since the idea of jobbers doesn€™t exist anymore, they reached into the mid-card and grabbed The Ascension because they were there. Their entrance didn€™t air, Stardust didn€™t show up with them, and the new stable was only mentioned once, which was by Byron Saxton. Michael Cole almost seemed annoyed that it was brought up at all, as if we were supposed to forget it ever happened. Well on SmackDown, the group was mysteriously, and happily back together. They even cut a promo before their match...which Booker T had a good chuckle at. Can he take another three months off from commentary? Laughing is not a good way to make a team seem like a threat. Well, the two easily beat the Lucha Dragons, which is a start, but then Neville came in and ran all three of them off, despite the 3-on-1 advantage. Yeah, this really is a wasteland of talent.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
