Rusev may have won the match, but Swagger put in an incredible performance in making both his opponent and himself come out of the match up looking incredibly impressive. The match was structured to make both men look great and has Zeb Colter's fingerprints all over it. With all the controversy over Lana's pre-match promo, it's a shame that it will undoubtedly overshadow what was a brutal battle of the two big men in a feud that could have been pulled straight out of the 1980's. Lana is merely channelling the anti-Russian sentiment for heat, any other heel would do the same. From a wrestling fan's standpoint, Rusev vs Swagger outshone any sort of pre-match posturing and the role of rough and ready American hero is one that oddly suits Jack Swagger. The commentary team made a point of noting that Swagger gave Rusev all he could handle and then some and we think this feud has one more big gimmick match left in it to blow it off properly.
