WWE Battleground Early Preview - 7 Matches That Will Take Place

4. Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt (rumored)

WWE.comWWE.comWhen Bray Wyatt lost the Money in the Bank match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Pay Per View, and Cena won the championship, the feud between Cena and Wyatt was effectively over, and a big question heading into last week€™s Raw was: where was Bray Wyatt going to go from here? That question was quickly answered when Chris Jericho made a surprise return to Raw and beat up The Miz. The Wyatt Family quickly appeared and took Jericho out. This was a perfect next step for Wyatt. Jericho€™s an established star who is willing to put other people over, and he will make Wyatt look like a million bucks in this rivalry. It is also fresh, because the Wyatt Family debuted almost literally immediately after Jericho left the WWE last year. Prediction: This feud has the potential to drag on over the next few months, so whoever is likely to lose the feud will win the first match. Since the overall goal of this feud will be to put Bray over, it€™s possible that Chris Jericho will win the first match, likely by a rollup. Jericho will then get beaten up by the Wyatt€™s post-match, which will continue the feud into Summerslam.

3. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose (rumored)

WWE.comWWE.comThis match has been over a month in the making. When Rollins attacked Ambrose and Roman Reigns to break up The Shield, it was Ambrose rather than Reigns who took it upon himself to go straight for Rollins. Ambrose€™s goal was to screw up the Money in the Bank ladder match for Rollins, and he nearly did so before he was attacked by Kane, leading to Rollins winning the briefcase. Ambrose then made a decree that he would never allow Rollins to successfully cash in the briefcase. If that€™s the case, this has the potential to be a year-long game of cat-and-mouse between Ambrose and Rollins. The very first singles match between the two is probably going to take place at Battleground. Prediction:Ambrose will successfully prevent Rollins from attempting to cash in the briefcase by defeating him in a one-on-one match at Battleground.
