WWE Black Wednesday Releases 2020 - Where Are They Now? (One Year Later)

17. Deonna Purrazzo

Arguably the biggest post-WWE success story on this list is Deonna Purrazzo, who is currently deep into her second reign as IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion, having just retired the veteran Jazz at Hardcore Justice 2021.

Purrazzo has been ascendant since joining IMPACT without a 90-day non-compete clause last May. Coming off like a genuine star in feuds with the likes of Taya Valkyrie and Jordynne Grace, her 2020 was so successful that IMPACT named her both the Knockout and Wrestler of the Year, having become an important piece of their weekly programming.

Not bad for an underused wrestler who could barely sniff a minute of television time in Stamford. The long, successful career awaiting her will prove one of WWE's greatest modern regrets.
