WWE Brighton Live - 10 Interesting Observations

3. Brighton Watches NXT

I was particularly interested in was seeing how Bayley was received by the crowd as soon as I saw her name listed on the Brighton Centre€™s website. There was no need to worry €“ she received a huge welcome from the fans in Brighton and the vast majority of people were perfectly aware of who she was. This also therefore indicated just how many fans in Brighton subscribe to the WWE Network, seeing as this is the only place in the UK that you can watch NXT. But it wasn€™t just adults, it was the kids as well, with a lot of kids trying to start NXT chants. It was as interesting a piece of market research as you could ask to receive. I also spotted several Balor Club t shirts being worn by fans, and the shirt was also prominently displayed on the main merchandise stand. During the Divas match, which pitted Bayley & Becky Lynch against Sasha Banks & Naomi, there was a small €œwomen€™s wrestling€ chant started by deeper voices, mimicking what was previously heard on NXT Takeover. I always find it funny how Stephanie McMahon joined in with that chant, when surely the correct verbiage in her book should be €œDivas Sports Entertainment€. Anyway, I digress. This was a good, fast paced match that was well received by the crowd and would hopefully help to turn some of the afore-mentioned youngsters onto the Divas matches. Bayley pinned Sasha with the Bayley to belly suplex, which got a big pop in anticipation of the finish from the crowd.
