WWE: Brock Lesnar's 10 Best Moments

9. The King Of The Ring

Brocklesnar The recent tournament to determine the top contender for the Intercontinental title has served as a great reminder of how fun wrestling tournaments can be and how effective they are at getting someone over. The now-defunct King of the Ring was a great vehicle for elevating a talent by having him earn multiple wins over top names. The event helped to raise the profile of upcoming stars like Steve Austin and Edge, as well as giving older veterans a prominent role, as it did with Harley Race and Booker T. Brock Lesnar entered the 2002 King of the Ring tournament with only four months of experience in WWE. His path to the finals went through Bubba Dudley, Booker T and Test (in one of Test's better matches) before he squared off with Rob Van Dam to determine that year's king. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRqpWdA7Eqg The pairing presented an extreme clash in styles but the two performers managed to put on a good show, leading to Lesnar winning when he caught RVD in mid-air attempting a dive and converted it into an F5. It was another star-making performance that granted Brock a championship match at SummerSlam.
