WWE Buys Rights To Kurt Angle Documentary
Details on WWE purchasing Kurt Angle's documentary rights - and when it might air.
WWE has purchased the rights to a documentary on the life and career of Kurt Angle.
The Olympian revealed as much on the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show. Claiming that WWE, after buying the rights, decided to make the documentary more wrestling-focused, the 53-year-old stated that it will air on Peacock as part of the deal.
Said the WWE Hall of Famer (h/t Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online):-
"The WWE bought the show from us, the documentary. They changed it up a little bit and made it a little more pro-wrestling oriented but we made a deal with them that this will air on Peacock next year, my previous documentary before they actually added more WWE stuff to it."
Continuing, Angle stated that the upcoming A&E Biography on him scheduled to air on 31 July will be even more pro-WWE:-
"The one next year on Peacock will be more about my personal life growing up and before the WWE. It's a really well-rounded documentary but the one that WWE is showing will be pro-WWE stuff."
Angle is currently in the midst of what sounds like a gruelling recovery from double knee replacement surgery, having gone under the knife in May.
