2. Backlash 2009: Winning ECW Championship
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0eRg1G9Rmc Having returned to the WWE just two months prior to the ECW brand, Christian captured the ECW Championship at Backlash 2009, defeating Jack Swagger at the April 26 pay-per-view event. This represented a respectable push on his return to the company and his biggest singles title in the WWE. The ECW title's prestige laid between the midcard Intercontinental and United States titles, and the WWE and World Heavyweight titles. Swagger had dominated the early stages of the show-opening bout, but Christian was able to claw his way back into contention. The finish came about when Christian dodged a running attack from Swagger, whose head subsequently smashed into an exposed turnbuckle. This allowed Christian to hit the Killswitch (f.k.a The Unprettier) and gain the pinfall. Christian's reign would only last sic weeks, dropping the title to Tommy Dreamer at the June Extreme Rules PPV, in a triple threat Hardcore match which also involved Jack Swagger. But on July 26, 2009, Christian defeated Tommy Dreamer to regain the belt at Night of Champions. This was the beginning of a 205 day run with the strap. He eventually lost the belt on the final broadcast of ECW on SyFy, losing to Ezekiel Jackson on February 16, 2010 in an Extreme Rules match. The belt was retired that night and Christian was subsequently signed to Raw.
