I'm willing to call it now, Cain Velasquez will be declared the winner in his WWE Championship Match against Brock Lesnar. However, what we all painfully know from experience is that that is no guarantee he gets to walk out with the title. Screwy non-finishes in title matches are WWE's bread, butter, bread and butter, bread pudding, butter knife, gingerbread, butterscotch, and I can't believe they aren't butterbeans. They had Roman spear Brock through the cage, for f***s sake.

This is the booking path pretty much every outlet on the planet claims they'll be going down. Putting Velasquez over with the win, but keeping the title on Lesnar in the process. A DQ, a stoppage, an interference, using Dominic as a weapon, take your pick.

If nothing else (and I'm trying to find the positives in this near inevitability) it keeps this rivalry bubbling on the hob for a more explosive match further down the line. Possibly nearer the Rumble when Velasquez has a better handle on this whole Sports Entertainment mess he's let himself in for. Hopefully, whatever happens, there's at least a battering.
