WWE Crown Jewel 2025: 8 Nightmares That Could Come True

3. The Titles Stay Put In Australia

WWE barely mentioned the Crown Jewel Titles on TV after Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan won them in Saudi Arabia last year. In fact, they’re not even defendable prizes that track consistently between "champions" it seems, so…what’s the point? If they're one night only belts, then they're glorified house show attractions at best; albeit house show attractions launched onto a mainline PLE.

It's a bizarre way of formatting things to effectively say: 'These titles are only important in this market, but not in any other, and they're not something you should think about as soon as *insert PLE here* is done'. It’d be better if WWE did have the winners bring each belt along on the road for a while once they’re back from Australia. Y’know, to actually give these matches some tangible sense of purpose beyond Saturday night.

The way it should be? Yes. What WWE will do? Probably not.

Keep that in mind when Seth, Cody, Stephanie or Tiffany celebrate with the titles over in Perth. They'll likely head backstage, snap a few quick pics with the thing, then hand it to a WWE staffer who will put it into storage until next year's Crown Jewel takes place in the UK or somewhere else. Then, the hype train will begin all over again, and some will pretend to care for a few weeks.

Remember Braun Strowman's Greatest Royal Rumble strap? Yeah, this is verging on that, and that's not meant as a compliment in the slightest. These titles will continue to mean sod all unless they become a larger part of the regular product, at least for a few months. That isn't much to ask.
