WWE Discussing Cesaro To Win Money In The Bank 2014

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Cesaro is WWE's front runner to win 2014's Money In The Bank briefcase. There will only be one briefcase ladder match on the show and Cesaro is currently the man who is being talked about for winner, however the report can't confirm that the final decision has been made. The briefcase would certainly be yet another boost for Cesaro's burgeoning 2014 status. He has already won the WrestleMania Andre Battle Royal and since gone on to become a main star with his role alongside manager Paul Heyman. A briefcase win would further elevate him and set him up for potential thrilling matches with Daniel Bryan. It's very unlikely that Cesaro would end up like last year's briefcase winner Damien Sandow who lost to John Cena and saw his career go down the drain. WWE have Cesaro earmarked as the future number 3 babyface in the company behind Cena and Bryan. What could possibly be a situation for the babyface turn is Cesaro striking out against fellow 'Paul Heyman Guy' Brock Lesnar. It has been speculated that Daniel Bryan might defend the WWE title against Lesnar at SummerSlam - maybe Lesnar wins the belt and then Cesaro shocks his colleague by cashing in and stealing the title from him when unawares. That could lead to Cesaro vs Lesnar or Cesaro vs Lesnar vs Bryan at September's Night Of Champions. We know that Lesnar is due to work at the September show and WWE are looking to stack it with something interesting in the hope of retaining Network subscribers (with the first six month period expiring in that period). Cesaro has been climbing the ladder of success in WWE all year, at Money In The Bank 2014 he can truly cement his main event status.
