WWE Draft 2023: 5 Things That Will Happen (And 5 That WON'T!)
1. WON’T: WWE Sticking To It
Would anyone be surprised if Triple H is pushed through the curtain to announce some sort of 'Wildcard Rule' post-2023 Draft? The thought that WWE will stick to ironclad rosters on Raw and SmackDown without some sort of crossover is...difficult. They've got previous when it comes to this, after all.
There's no way Raw and SmackDown's lineups remain the same for 12 months.
It'd be a huge surprise if the company resisted some sort of "shake up" a few months in, or didn't announce a few talent trades here or there. They produce a lot of content, and the writers might demand fresh faces to work with on each show. That sucks, and defo undermines the Draft, but it's WWE's way.
If WWE must tamper with the Draft almost-immediately, then the least they can promise is to stick to their own rules. The way they d*cked around with the 'Wildcard' and that hopeless 'wrestlers can make X number of appearances on the other show each year' concept was rotten.
