WWE’s last two Elimination Chamber matches (2015) were nothing to write home about, but this year’s incarnation looks exceptional. The match has always been just as likely to produce a dud as it is a classic, but SmackDown have really stacked the deck for Sunday night, and short of adding Randy Orton to the match, there’s little they could do to improve it.

John Cena faces an uphill struggle to retain his WWE Championship. Cena equalled Ric Flair’s record of 16 world titles by defeating AJ Styles two weeks ago at the Royal Rumble, but he’s going up against some of SmackDown’s biggest and boldest. In all likelihood, Cena is going to drop his championship without making a single successful defence, and there are a few potential victors.

It’s probably too early to put the belt on Baron Corbin, and Dean Ambrose looks set to anchor the Intercontinental Title division for now. The Miz has been SmackDown’s strongest heel since the Brand Split and, at times, the glue holding the show together. Making him the champion would be a huge statement of intent: his victory shouldn’t be ruled-out, and neither should AJ Styles regaining the title at the first time of asking.

None look likelier than Bray Wyatt, however. A victory here would be the next logical step in his post-Draft rebuilding process, and set-up a huge showdown between him and Orton at WrestleMania 33. It’s only a matter of time before Orton stabs Wyatt in the back, and what better way to finish their feud than by having them fight for the WWE Championship at the biggest show of the year?

Winner: Bray Wyatt.
